Jewell County Community Foundation Raises Match Month Goal to $100,000
MANKATO, Kan.— March is the beginning of another Match Month for the Community Foundation in Jewell County.
All month long, for any dollar donated to the Community Foundation, your donation is matched by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation and the Patterson Family Foundation. The Dane G. Hansen Foundation will match 2:1 up to $50,000, and the Patterson Family Foundation will match 1:1 up to $100,000. This means that $1 becomes $4, $10 becomes $40, $100 becomes $400, and so on.
All funds raised go into JCCF’s unrestricted fund and are used to fund charitable projects throughout Jewell County. Since its inception in 2018, JCCF has awarded over $500,000 in grants to Jewell County projects.
Director Kyra Gritten comments, "No other time can you maximize your donation like March. Last year, we raised over $100,000 during Match Month. We are excited to enter our 7th Match Month and hopefully break last year’s record. The Community Foundation is a vital tool for keeping Jewell County sustainable. Because of the support we received during Match Month, it allows us to grow and assist in funding projects like a playground remodel at Rock Hills Elementary, community center upgrades, equipment for our fire departments, and so much more.”
All donations are tax-deductible. Gifts can be sent to the Jewell County Community Foundation, PO Box 154, Mankato, KS, 66956, or donated online at https://bit.ly/3uyOG6i no later than MARCH 31, 2025.
