A Bold Beginning, A Brighter Future
Just three years ago, the Jewell County Community Foundation took a leap of faith by hiring its first director. Then in 2024, we took a bold step and expanded the position to full-time. That single decision transformed the Foundation's trajectory.
With full-time leadership in place, we’ve grown in both impact and visibility—strengthening donor relationships, improving support for nonprofits, and bringing new energy to our mission of enhancing the quality of life in Jewell County.
Our Recent Milestones
We’re proud of the momentum we’ve built. Here are just a few highlights:
- $100,300 raised during Match Month in 2024—followed by a record-breaking $117,132 in 2025
- $62,559 in grants awarded to nonprofits in 2023 and $80,772 in 2024
- Launched our local fund match program: 5 To Go, 5 To Grow
- Opened 7 new funds to support community causes and donor wishes
- Surpassed $1.5 million in assets in 2024
From what started as a volunteer-led effort, the Foundation is now driven by strategic focus and full-time commitment—and it’s making a difference.
Impact Across Jewell County
As of spring 2025, the Foundation has awarded over $543,500 to community projects. Your support is already creating real, lasting change:
- $97,002 to Jewell County Fire/EMS Services
- $37,247 to USD 107 Rock Hills
- $37,600 to parks and recreation projects
Introducing: The Jewell County Forever Campaign
To sustain this momentum and secure a strong future, we are launching the Jewell County Forever Campaign—a $600,000 fundraising initiative to support the Foundation’s administrative and operational fund through 2029.
This fund will ensure:
- Sustainable leadership to continue guiding our growth
- Expanded support services for donors, nonprofits, and community projects
- Long-term capacity to meet evolving needs with confidence
