Jewell County Community Foundation Launches Match Month 2026

March 2, 2026

The Jewell County Community Foundation (JCCF) is proud to announce the return of Match Month this March—an opportunity for community members to triple the impact of their generosity and invest in the future of Jewell County.

During Match Month 2026, every dollar donated to JCCF will be matched 2-to-1, up to $100,000, thanks to generous support from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation and the Patterson Family Foundation. If the Foundation reaches its $100,000 fundraising goal, those contributions will total $300,000 to support Jewell County communities.

Funds raised during Match Month support the Foundation’s unrestricted grants and administrative expenses. These flexible resources allow JCCF to respond to the most pressing and emerging needs across the county—both now and in the years ahead. The funding supports annual grantmaking, strengthens local nonprofits and municipalities, and ensures responsible stewardship of charitable resources for long-term community impact.

“Match Month is one of the most meaningful opportunities of the year to invest in Jewell County,” said Kyra Gritten, representing the Foundation. “Because of our generous donors and matching partners, gifts made in March go further and create lasting support for our towns, organizations, and families.”

In 2025, the Jewell County Community Foundation supported numerous impactful projects, including:

  • Supplies for the Rock Hills School Store
  • Personal protective equipment for Jewell Fire District #6
  • Main Street beautification in the City of Esbon
  • Property improvement materials for the City of Jewell
  • Summer youth activities through Jewell County Strong
  • A new ultrasound machine for Jewell County Hospital
  • A restoration project for Guardians of St. Luke’s Church and Cemetery
  • Software training for the City of Formoso

These projects reflect the power of local philanthropy and community partnership—ensuring children have safe places to learn and play, families have access to essential services, and towns across Jewell County remain strong and vibrant.

To qualify for matching funds, contributions must be received between March 1 and March 31, 2026. Donations are tax-deductible, and 100% of each gift remains in Jewell County.
